Our client, located in the heart of the Niagara Peninsula, supplies Agricultural row crop and horticultural crop inputs and services to growers within a 100 km radius. Through four generations of entrepreneurs, they have developed a financially solid and profitable establishment which farmer-growers can depend on. With their stable work force of talented and dedicated employees, they are known for their excellent customer service and through this have attained a large and loyal customer base.<br />
<br />

As General Manager, you will provide leadership for this business unit. Your staff of 20 includes a strong operations team and seasoned sales staff.<br />

</br><b><center><big><big>General Manager - AgriBusiness</big></big></br><big>Niagara, Ontario</big></center></b></br></br><b>In this role you will:</b><ul><li>Report to the VP</br><li>Continue to foster an achievement-based culture where employees are motivated and rewarded for both individual and team contributions</br><li>Responsible for all P+L, credit policies</br><li>Create, streamline, maintain and evolve reporting systems for ongoing operational strategy including trends, costing, purchasing and variances from budget and/or the business plan</br><li>Ensure all safety, environment and regulatory programs comply with all legal and safety standards</br><li>History shows there will be growth opportunities</ul>

This role is at the heart of the business by providing customers the clear, accurate suggestions that drive their business decisions.

</br><b>Requirements:</b></br></br><i>Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in two or more of the following:</i><br />
<ul><li>Market research or analysis</br><li>Commodity futures research/analysis</br><li>Futures trading</br><li>Agricultural risk management</br><li>Agricultural market decision making</br><li>Cash grain trading</br><li>Western Canada grain, oilseed or specialty crop marketing</br><li>US farm market advisory services</ul>
<i>Proven track record involving:</i>
<ul><li>Synthesizing complex information and forming clear, concise conclusions</br><li>Ability to communicate complex situations, graphs and charts or commodity market analysis to a broad user base</br><li>Exceptional writing skills (applicants will be tested)</ul>
<i>University degree:</i><ul><li>MSc or MBA in Ag Economics, Mathematics or related degree minimum</br>

The location for this position is London, Ontario Canada. Candidates wishing to work and live in other locations in Canada or the US may be considered. However, periodic travel to the London office will be required.
