Regional Sales Manager - Agriculture
Truro, Nova Scotia

As the Regional Sales Manager, meet sales targets by forging long-term relationships with customers, and continuously build business through a proactive approach to business development.

Reporting to the Branch Manager, you will:

  • Execute the branch’s sales and business development strategies in your assigned territory
  • Grow existing customer relationships, follow-up on leads for new business and proactively conduct customer prospecting activities
  • Use your agronomic expertise to make fertilizer and input recommendations that align with customers crop plans
  • Gather regional and provincial market intelligence to provide input to the leadership team for product positioning and business development opportunities
  • Provide timely customer service and technical support for agronomic issues when needed by customers
  • Represent the company at industry events and take the initiative to be an involved member of the agriculture community

Your background includes:

  • A degree or diploma in (Agri)business, agriculture or related field preferred. Relevant agriculture designations (P.Ag, CCA etc.) a strong asset
  • 3+ years of sales and business development experience within the agriculture sector
  • Strong time management and organization skills with the ability to efficiently work independently
  • Knowledge of crop protection, seed and fertilizer, as well as grower purchasing behaviour and agriculture trends in Atlantic Canada
  • A self-starter attitude with the drive and motivation to create your own success, and grow within a position
  • Clear and concise interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong business acumen, relationship building and networking abilities

This position will be based at their location in Truro, Nova Scotia with travel throughout the region, and occasionally to Newfoundland. Company vehicle provided.
